Dessert

Theology in chocolate.
One for the Father.
One for the Son.
One for the Holy Spirit.
One for Our Blessed Mother.
One for you, who is wrapped in the midst of their love.
One more for abundance!

For three days, I have been trying to get to mass. Finally today, things came together. Just as I sat down to enjoy a homily by one of my favorite Franciscans, Fr. Bob Weakly, he announced that there would be no sermon today! Instead, he re-read the first few lines of today's Psalm and then asked a question. He left us in silence for a few minutes, and frankly, it brought me to tears. Fr. Bob does that. There is something about his humility and deep, caring thoughtfulness that moves me every time he speaks.

The Lord is faithful in all his words.

Let all your works give you thanks, O LORD,
and let your faithful ones bless you.
Let them discourse of the glory of your Kingdom
and speak of your might.

What is the work that has brought you to have faith?

(my immediate response: suffering. thank you for my suffering.)

It was a good mass today.
