Big Sis noticed her thumb has what appears to be two tendons today. So she started researching the muscles, ligaments, and tendons of the hand...and forearm. I gave her a copy of Gray's Anatomy, a Dover Student Coloring Book of Anatomy, and free reign on the internet. She is fascinated. We talked about extensors and flexors, demonstrated how they work, how you can get ideas of muscle names by their function. THIS is unschooling.
