We Need Green!

We've had one of the longest, hardest winters on record in thirty years. So yesterday, the kids and I decided we needed some GREEN! We hit our local Luthy Botanical Gardens in the small, but historically significant Glen Oak Park. (It's the oldest park in the midwest and modeled after Central Park on Manhattan Island)

My favorite spot at the garden- a penny wish fountain. I used to throw
 pennies into it when I was a little kid. Now my kids are so big they barely fit.
