The Walk of Life ~ Part Two: From Devonian to the Anthropocene

In my previous blogpost, I described a walk through the evolution of life on Earth that my homeschool co-op class took. I made up boxes with fossils and materials for each period of time on the geological time scale. I showed the contents of the boxes in the last post. Now for Devonian to Anthropocene.
 

DEVONIAN BOX
Contents: Rugose coral (single and colony), along with a picture of what rugose corals look like, a small Devonian coral found in Iowa, shark teeth and shark figures, Dunkleosteus figure, and an image of Tiktaalik as a fossil and in life.

PERMIAN BOX
Contents: Inostrancevia (a 'stem mammal'), champsosaurus pic and fossil (I see a misspelling!), modern reptile specimens (snake egg, snake skin, turtle carapace), images of Permian reptiles developing osseous 'shells', fossilized turtle shells and turtle-like reptiles
