My family lives just an hour from Dickson Mounds Museum- a wonderful and free Illinois resource! Wikipedia Info! We visit frequently, perhaps four to six times a year.
We can study SO MUCH there! We get a combination of Native American culture and post ice age culture.
But tomorrow we are trekking the 2. 5 hour drive to Cahokia Mounds! I havent been there since I was a young teen with Farrah Fawcett feathered bangs. I cannot wait to see and to share with my children.
