Official School Day Part III

Chores:
Clean cat litter boxes
Collect dirty laundry and put down chute
Take our garbage

20 minutes with 100 Easy Lessons for Little Brother
and a few pages in Meet Big Ben, a beginning reader book.

Big Sis reviewed the four P's of marketing by designing a lemonaide stand.
Product: Lemonaide, a percentage of which goes to charity
Price: $1.50 a glass to start, then when market is established, raise to $2.50 a glass
Place: By OSF St. Francis Hospital
Promotion: Product name, motto, and logo is "Lemon Aid" "Each glass you drink provides aid to a charity!" A lemon with a hospital bed or something similar on it.

Meal Planning:
Both children helped establish healthy meals for the week.
Breakfasts include oatmeal, banana bread, sausage and scrambled eggs, orange juice and toast.
Lunches will be Monkey Platters this week:
PBJ or PBH cut into bite sized peices, carrots, brocolli, Avanti's low cal ranch dressing, rolled up lettuce leaves, pears, peaches, strawberries, pommegranate, seedless grapes, bite sized cereal, walnuts, crackers, cheese.
Dinner planning is based on Protein, Starch, and Veggies:
Italian Beef Sandwiches with Asparagus
Taco Bar: Beans, cheese, sour cream, whole wheat tortillas, corn, tomatoes, salsa, lettuce, spinach, carrots, guacamole.
Baked chicken, plain, mashed potatoes and turnips, steamed brocolli
Potato, brocolli, turnip and cheese soup
Matzo ball soup.
Desserts: Brownies, Strawberry Pie, Vanilla Ice Cream with Strawberries, Cherries and Granola.

We are headed to the bank and grocery store with our lists after lunch and a DVD of Prince Valiant.
