One of our favorite stops, The Art Garage, hosts a 5$ project that takes anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your interest. Our gang usually stays a good 2 hours. ;) Today we made still life paintings.
Yesterday, we joined a local co-op and made tie-dye shirts by coloring with permanent marker, then drawing the colors out by dropping rubbing alcohol on the marker. A very neat effect!
Both days the kids played with friends, explored the river front, and created Rangoli art on the sidewalk of Peoria's Main Street shops.
